L&T-built INS Samarthak inducted into Indian Navy
INS Samarthak, built by Larsen & Toubro, has been launched at Karwar, Karnataka. With over 75% indigenous content, it will test and evaluate domestically developed naval sensors and weapons. The ship advances Aatmanirbhar Bharat, strengthens defence self-reliance, promotes private-sector participation, enhances maritime preparedness, and supports India's strategic autonomy despite technological and supply-chain challenges.
